Any one have a recommendation or on line referance? I understand popcorn poppers (hot air) will work and best to use one with side vents. any suggestion on brand or where to obtain. I would love to have the name of a good/inexpensive grinder as well. Thanks!

Coffee Roaster

The gOdiva people make a good machine and all you have to do uis subscribe to their coffee and then cancel it
I’ve tried the popcorn maker and I almost burned the engine out, plus it is too hot for most beans.
I use my cast iron pans in the oven at a 450 f heat with the beans spread evenly on the pan. I works well but remember to stir every 5 minutes or so. If you dont have cast iron pans you can get them pretty cheap at a used store.
Rumour has it that even the $150 to $200 roasters are a waste of money. The darker roasts apparently leave a sticky residue in the machine and eventually clog it up.
most coffee available on the market has already been roasted… why would you need a roaster at home? i have never seen a coffee roaster for sale to the public.
any coffee grinder will do. you can find one for $20 or less at any kitchen supply store.
